I am a member of academic staff in Physics at the University of Galway, on the west coast of Ireland.

I carry out research with the Applied Optics Group and Centre for Astronomy. My research includes the areas of optical design, astronomical instrumentation, optical metrology and development of design for manufacture. My work involves collaborating with industry and international academic research groups on furthering novel aspects of optical instrumentation.

I currently serve as an Assistant Editor for Applied Optics in the areas of optical design and optical metrology.
